Definitely submit an application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is February 15 and the application is free.
Scholarships are another source of financial assistance. If you're interested in finding out if you qualify, you'll have to get your application to us by December 1 for freshman Fall Admission (March 15 for transfer) and submit an essay. There are several different types of scholarships available:
Merit-based Scholarships
Based on academic performance and a student should have at least a 3.4 to be competitive as well as a 1200 SAT and/or 26 ACT.
Endowed Scholarships
Available from private donors. Each donor establishes the requirements.
Need-based Scholarships
Offered in the form of a grant which is based on your financial need.
For more information please go to www.fafsa.edu.gov and fill out the FAFSA form.
